Applied for residency to launch a $60M gym chain in Portugal, never got my residency and was never able to enter Portugal

I applied for residency in Portugal, as I was going to launch a gym chain there with $60m in backing to do so. When I applied for the visa, they claimed that I should apply first, get the residency, and add my wife directly after. Why split them, who knows. But we went with the advice the embassy was giving to the agent in the UAE.

I got my residency approved, and waited zero time to then apply for my wife. I was not even allowed to submit the documents because they said they had paused residencies. They never resumed them, and we never ended up moving there to start the gym chain.

I rented a house for a year paid up front, went through the horrible process of opening a bank account there, and spent a lot of money making sure all documents were professionally prepared.

I never even entered the country to activate the residency. I never seen my house I rented. I took all my money out of the account. Economic suicide by Portugal. I know there are many such cases as mine.
