"You used a crowbar to try and get into the villa you rented"

We rented a nice sea view villa in the Algarve over Christmas a couple of years ago.

We went out, came home and noticed some shady guys on the street. I thought nothing of it.

When we eventually checked out, the host showed us the back of the house.

Someone had tried to use a crowbar to get in.

The Portuguese villa manager blamed it on us: "You used a crowbar to try and get into the villa"
